Advertiser Profile

The first step to uncover your competitors' display advertising activities using WhatRunsWhere is to locate the information within our database. WhatRunsWhere provides the data we have on advertisers by searching the advertiser domain. An advertiser is anyone who is placing advertisements on a site that links back to their domain, and includes both companies and affiliates.

  1. Start your advertiser search by clicking on the search bar, type in the domain of the advertiser.
  2. Select the advertiser you want to view and the profile will load.
    • Tip: Type in the domain slowly and let the built in auto-complete feature generate a drop-down menu of complete URLs and then select the correct domain.

Running a search for "geico" for example will bring up any entity profiles we have with geico in the autocomplete. For Geico there are several different advertiser sites they use, select the one you want to view. The type of entity is written on the right hand side, entity options include Advertiser, Site, Network and Category. If you are looking for only Advertiser profiles ensure you select the right profile.

Now let's go through what is shown and how to customize the Advertiser Profile
